Neal Chambers of EnglishSpark.com, shared a link with me today pointing to a blog post by Joe Heitzeberg of CurrentlyObsessed.com. In his post ' New York Times 50 Most Challenging Words' Joe has put together an article defining and using each 'fancy' word from the List by New York Times. Joe's post has covered all the words very nicely in a dictionary like format. Here are a few words from the New York Times List defined and explained using fun vocabulary videos for our younger students. Of course vocabulary enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to enjoy learning these words as well!
